Sharon Fisher-Larson
is a member of DPE, Alpha Phi Chapter and Beta Theta Chapter. She is an active member in NBEA/NCBEA, Illinois BEA, and Wisconsin BEA. From July 1, 2008 to June 30, 2008, Sharon is serving as President of the National Business Education Association (NBEA).
Sharon taught high school, community college, and even middle school business education courses for over 30 years. She continues to "teach" at conferences, conventions, in-services, and on site at schools and businesses.
Sharon has authored numerous publications related to training and instruction in PowerPoint and WordPerfect. She has contributed to other textbooks and co-authored a practice set for office procedures instruction. Sharon conducts workshops and seminars for teachers and business professionals. As an independent consultant for Glencoe/McGraw-Hill Publishing Company, Sharon is sponsored by Glencoe at conferences, conventions, and schools.
Awards and honors include 1997 IBEA Distinguished Service Award, 1994 NBEA Postsecondary Teacher-of-the-Year Award, and 1994 NCBEA Postsecondary Distinguished Service Award. Other awards have been received from DPE, Illinois BEA, Community College Consortium, and Elgin Community College.
